The work of the congregation, the maintenance of the buildings, salaries and new projects all require money. The Martin Luther congregation is supported almost entirely by voluntary contributions of members and friends of the congregation. In addition the congregation organizes two special fundraisers per year.
Christmas bazaar
The old tradition of hosting a Christmas bazaar resumed in December 2017 and shall be continued as an annual fundraiser. Our large and roomy Mt Calvary Hall offers the best opportunity to exhibit Advent and Christmas wares, and we talk together over coffee and cake and maybe even celebrate with a glass of mulled wine.
Springfestival with dance
Our annual big fundraiser is the springfestival with music and dance. We celebrate this at the Maple Leaf – Almrausch Club with beer on tap in the “Beergarden”. For dinner are offered various vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, a mixed buffet with a selection of salads and ending with coffee and dessert. We offer a special children’s program including a soccer game – weather permitting. The raffle with many prizes is always a highlight of the evening.
